Planned Downtime/Maintenance

We've successfully managed to outgrow our VPS... Well done people! *prods all people*.

Now the news... we're upgrading (again!) so this will require some downtime while the transfer is made - unfortunately, at the moment I do not know when this will begin or how long it will last.

For that reason, I'm posting this message ahead of time - I would like to have the transfer take place when I'm around/awake so we'll have to see what the host say.

Please watch this thread for updates.

Downtime shouldn't be for long - they prepare the servers before the move. And for them the transfer of info/data should take seconds. However, if there are any problems [site is down], Paul has my mobile number. PM/Ring him to Text me! Smile

The transfer is happening at the moment, however, the transfer of domain will happen later on today. I'll be configuring the server for the rest of today. I've taken the main site offline temporarily while the transfer happens.

That actually sounds like an interesting idea. In practice I'm not sure it'll work all that well though... And I don't know how we're going to handle that vF API that's taking care of auto-registrations Tongue
