code this for me? =D?
http://kamidraws.paul-shepherd.com/gddcomp.html

right now, tis just an image. >.> Was wondering how i'd go about coding this... =/ I rather wanted a repeating middle portion [to avoid using divs for actual content], but that'll screw with the background image on the content area...

Thoughts?

RE: code this for me? =D?
Use iFrames for the content so you could have a fixed content area and your background image wont be messed up.

RE: code this for me? =D?
Andy, I'd use 2 scrolling DIVs personally with fixed heights instead of iFrames! Smile

Either way, it stops Kami slicing up the background Smile

@ wrighty - i was going that route with my site currently [ http://kamidraws.paul-shepherd.com ], but a lot of people said the divs seemed unnecessary and cluttery, since they had to scroll down anyway to see the whole content.

@ Andrew - could you explain how to use the iframes in the manner you're describing?

Just the same as a scrolling div, a scrolling box with content Tongue

RE: code this for me? =D?
If you don't want to have scrolling div or iframes. You might want to go in and modify your design a bit and make it a bit taller so the "star bursts" can be seperated from the nav and such so you can easily get tileable middle.

But if you don't want to modify it can be easily coded in either div or iframes.

Actually, looking at it ... it could be coded to expand..
I remember coding a site a bit like that one ... though I can't remember for the life of me what site it was... Either way ... I'm sure it is possible & able to expand! Big Grin

Unfortunately I won't have any time until next week as I'm away all weekend! Sad

@ fallen samurai - that's not the part that i'm worried about. those are separated easily -- look, however, at the black 'content' area; there's a design on that.

@ wrighty - if you want to code it for me, i'd be happy to wait. =P
