RE: What kind of computer do you have?
I built mine. Though my parts aren't all great, if anything they suck compared to today's new releases. Anyway, here are my specs.
MSI Motherboard w/ nForce chipset (old) AMD Athlon XP 1700 512 MB DDR RAM PC1600 (old.... and weak) nVidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI (that's right, PCI, not AGP) 60 GB Hard Drive 7200 RPM (most decent part in my system) 4x/2x/32x CDRW Drive (weak huh?) 24x CD-ROM Drive Yeah.... I need an upgrade. Actually, I just need a whole new system. I wouldn't mind a DFI board. ![]() PS - dungeonmaster, 48x DVD ROM does not exist. That's prolly the CD read speed, 16x is max for DVD read. Also, I don't consider Intel to be the best. Of course, we all have our opinions. acecard |

RE: What kind of computer do you have?
I have no clue. I reseated the HDD connections to the motherboard and the drive itself and it booted fine. Maybe the connections just got loose somehow.
It is working fine for now.... I was thinking the MBR was damaged, physically on the drive. At worst I'd have to get a new HDD. Hopefully I won't have to. |
