Members Area
As has been highlighted in the Feedback board, this is an area that many people feel wImg is falling behind against other competitors. Firstly proposed as a paid only feature, we've had a small think and are considering opening it up to everyone.

However, this free account would be very limited. It wouldn't include many features, and would perhaps just be the 'essentials'.

So what I'm looking for from everyone is a list of things they would like to see in a 'member' area. Features at this point in time shouldn't be seperated into paid & free by the people who suggest them. I would like any and all suggestions. Also, recommendations on space limits for each person.

Thank you! Smile

RE: Members Area
What about resizing uploaded images, links to all uploaded images and photo albums?.

RE: Members Area
Simple is key. Make sure uploading without being a member is still available. After that, the feature list:

+ Sign in and out
+ View upload history
+ Delete images you've uploaded

Frankly, I don't even think a page to display what you've uploaded is necessary- even if only the uploader can see it, it's good.

RE: Members Area
How about we integrate the randomizer service into it and have a "Create a randomizer with these images" feature or something? Big Grin

RE: Members Area
The ability to edit images would be nice.
By that, I mean that you could keep the same image URL, but upload a new image to it. It would mean you could change images, without (potentially) having to change URLs at several locations.

Resizing sounds like a good plan - I'll see if I can get some sort of 'cropping' tool in. And perhaps 'change filetype' or something! Undecided
That will take some testing! Tongue

Upload History isn't something that's hard to implement if we work it off username! Smile
Sign in/out is a given.
Deleting images is something I'm unsure about, that might be a paid only feature! Undecided

This is something that we're looking to add.

HTML - what HTML code do you want? I could get that added to the main uploader.
Folders - read just before this quote
Thumbnails - that should be easy to do. I might implement it for the non-members but not 'announce' it per say.
Delete - read 2nd quote.

Sounds like a plan - I'll see what I can come up with somewhere.

Overwriting images? That could be done I guess. Hmm ... Or would it be best to be able to 'rename' images? Undecided [Paid only of course! Tongue]

RE: Members Area
HTML examples

Non members:
Code:
<img src="URl" title="Hosted at wImg.co.uk" alt="Hosted at wImg.co.uk">
Members:
Code:
<img src="URl">

Since some people don't know how to use or modify HTML very well, some might leave in the "Hosted at..." part when using images.
